Here is the latest draft version as prepared by the Barbados National
Standards Institution (BNSI). While a number of BAPE members sat on
committees that were involved in the initial stages of the
preparation of the draft Code, a review of the document by others
will surely identify potential improvements, particularly in the
specialist technical areas. The comments of BAPE members will be
used to advise BNSI on the resources that will be required in order
to bring the process of revising this edition of the Code to a

BAPE responds to the local press on 13 th October, 2007,
purporting to summarise a joint statement from the Ministry and
contractors following a meeting held between the Ministry, BAPE, 3S
and their PR specialist and some of their consulting firms,

The Barbados Association of Professional Engineers will be holding the
above-mentioned event on Thursday, 27 September 2007 at 12 noon at
Barbados Yacht Club, Bay Street, St. Michael. The cost inclusive of
one soft drink is fifty-five dollars ($55.00) for BAPE members and
sixty dollars ($60.00) for non-members.
Engineers Grenville Phillips II, Ralph Williams and Richard Inniss
will be our panelists and will address us on the topic: - “Fee Setting
in the Profession”.

Building Projects”, on Thursday, September 13, 2007, at the Barbados
Yacht Club..
